Prévent: surf spot guide

Prévent is one of the most popular surf spots in Capbreton among local surfers. Located between Plage des Océanides (Santocha) and La Piste beach, it offers more consistent and better-shaped waves than its southern neighbour.

It is a sandy beach break with well-defined peaks that work particularly well at low to mid-rising tide. The west-northwest orientation efficiently catches Atlantic swells, and the Capbreton canyon has less influence here than at Santocha, explaining the more powerful waves.

Prévent is the ideal spot for surfers who have mastered the basics and want to progress. For beginners, we recommend Santocha where our surf lessons take place.
